Finding your centre: Qigong for steadiness, strength & everyday balance - a 3 week journey with Denise
Life has a habit of pulling us in all directions. One moment we're feeling calm and grounded; the next we feel uprooted and unsteady on our feet. This three-week online Qigong course is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with your centre, and cultivate the steady, nourishing qualities of the Earth element.
Through a blend of gentle Qigong movement, breathing practices, healing sounds, and meditation, we'll explore ways to feel more grounded, balanced, and resilient in everyday life. Think of it as giving your body, mind, and spirit a chance to reconnect.
Suitable for all abilities. We will meet live via Zoom over 3 Thursdays in August - 6th, 13th, 20th at 6.30pm - 7.30pm.
Sessions will also be recorded for you to keep and practice again whenever you feel you need to find your centre again.
Across three live one-hour sessions, we will:
Practice gentle Qigong movements to improve energy flow, balance, and body awareness
Explore calming breathing techniques to support relaxation and vitality
Use healing sounds associated with the Earth element to encourage harmony and release tension
Enjoy guided meditations that help cultivate presence, steadiness, and inner calm
The Chinese Earth phase is connected with nourishment, support, and finding stability amidst life's ups and downs. Together we'll explore how to embody these qualities—not by becoming as immovable as a rock, but by learning to stay centred even when life gets a little wobbly.
This course is suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. All movements can be adapted to suit individual needs and can often be practised seated or standing.
By the end of the course, you'll have a toolkit of simple practices to help you feel more grounded, steady, and connected—ready to meet daily life with a little more ease, a little more strength, and perhaps a little less searching for your keys.
